Caregiving doesn’t end when a class does — and neither should the support that helps caregivers stay grounded, confident, and connected. That’s why AAASWFL is proud to offer the Alumni Caregiver Support Group, a dedicated space for graduates of any AAASWFL Caregiver Education Program to continue their journey with ongoing guidance and community.
Caregivers often tell us that the most meaningful part of their education experience is discovering they’re not alone. This group builds on that foundation, offering a supportive, confidential environment where alumni can:
- Share real‑life experiences and challenges
- Reinforce the skills learned in their caregiver education classes
- Connect with peers who understand the caregiving journey
- Learn practical tools to navigate daily responsibilities
- Develop strategies to reduce stress and prevent caregiver burnout
Each session is guided by trained facilitators who help keep conversations supportive, focused, and empowering. Whether you prefer to join in person in Fort Myers or virtually via Zoom, the group is designed to meet caregivers where they are — both emotionally and geographically.
