The Florida Department of Elder Affairs’ SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) program provides free, unbiased information and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries year-round. SHINE is administered locally by the Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida.
SHINE counselors are able to assist with any matters related to Medicare, including access to preventive services, cost-saving programs, and identifying and reporting Medicare fraud.
