The Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida (AAASWFL) did not receive a Notice of Intent to Submit from any Legal Service Provider for OAA Legal Assistance services in Collier County. Therefore, AAASWFL will directly approach qualified Legal Service Providers in Collier County to ensure continued availability of this essential service.

AAASWFL’s Response to Written Inquiries has been added to the Reference Documents folder of the 2025 OAA RFP Packet. As part of our response to written inquiries, AAASWFL has provided an updated UCM Worksheet (“06.b.Appendix VI.b – UCM Worksheet_06.24”), an ADDENDUM I listing the minimum requirements for Personnel Standards and Employee Benefits as referenced for the Organizational Capability Package, and has corrected the award anticipated for OAC2 services in DeSoto County (as referenced in “02.Appendix II – Anticipated Allocations”).
A new UCM template “06.b.APPENDIX VI.b – UCM Worksheet_07.02” has been added to the RFP Packet, which allows agencies to list additional personnel (up to 108), if needed. This template can be accessed via the 2025 OAA RFP Packet.
Updated Appendix IX
Appendix IX “09.APPENDIX IX – Bidder Checklist” has been updated to more accurately reflect the components of the Organizational Capability package requested in “06.a.APPENDIX VI.a – SPA Guidelines & Formats”. As part of the Organizational Capability Package, please submit Job Descriptions and Qualifications for all staff involved in your project proposal, and the item “Case Management experience and performance reviews” has been removed from the checklist and is not needed. You can access the updated Appendix IX via the 2025 OAA RFP Packet.
Notice of Request for Proposals – Older Americans Act (OAA) Service Providers
Contingent upon the availability of funds, the Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida, Inc. (AAASWFL) for Planning and Service Area 8 intends to contract and is soliciting sealed proposals for OAA (Older Americans Act) Service Provider Designation for Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry, Lee, and Sarasota Counties, with an anticipated service start date of January 1, 2026. Proposals may be obtained electronically: 2025 OAA RFP Packet.
A bidder’s conference will be held at 12:00 p.m. on June 19, 2025, virtually and at AAASWFL’s office: 2830 Winkler Ave, Suite 112, Fort Myers, FL 33916. Attendance at the bidder’s conference is not mandatory. Sealed proposals are due to AAASWFL by 12:00 p.m. on August 11, 2025, with opening immediately to follow. The Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida, Inc. reserves the right to reject any and all proposals not complying with specifications and requested information. The Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida (AAASWFL), a nonprofit Area Agency on Aging (AAA) and Aging and Disability Resource Center, intends to award a Strategic Planning Consultant contract to Whitney Crettol Consulting.
Announcement of Emergency Interim CCE (Community Care for the Elderly) Lead Agency Designation for Hendry & Glades Counties
In accordance with applicable law (F.S. 430.203; 287.057) and DOEA guidelines (DOEA NOI #031408-1-T-SWCBS), AAASWFL issued a Request for Proposal for Community Care for the Elderly (CCE) Lead Agency in Hendry and Glades Counties, to which no proposals were received. The current contract term for CCE Lead Agency for these counties ends June 30, 2024; as such, an emergency exists such that AAASWFL must secure an interim solution so that no danger to the public health, safety, or welfare of seniors in Hendry and Glades Counties occurs. Senior Friendship Centers is designated as the Emergency Interim CCE Lead Agency in Hendry and Glades Counties for the period of 07.01.2024 to 12.31.2024. This period will allow AAASWFL to reissue a Request for Proposals for CCE Lead Agency Designation in these Counties with a contract term beginning 01.01.2025.
