A class for family caregivers
Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a FREE educational program designed to help family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a friend or relative. You will benefit from this class whether you are helping a parent, a spouse, a friend, someone who lives at home, in a nursing home, or across the country. Classes will teach you how to:
Reduce stress associated with caregiving
Balance your life
Improve your self-confidence
Better communicate your feelings
Increase your ability to make tough caregiving decisions
Locate helpful resources for caregivers in your community
This class series meets once a week for six weeks. Class size is limited, and registration is required.
Powerful Tools for Caregivers workshops begin Tuesday, May 7 and continues on Tuesdays through June 11 at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church (21075 Quesada Ave.).
