Thank you for your interest. \nAbout Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention:\nTai Chi is a low-impact form of Chinese martial arts that involves slow\, controlled\, flowing movements. Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention is designed for adults 60 and over to reduce pain and stiffness from arthritis\, build strong muscle around joints\, increase energy and prevent other health problems.   Tai Chi can also help improve hand-eye coordination\, enhance health and fitness\, improve balance\, reduce stress and provide a gentle aerobic workout.   Tai Chi for Arthritis for Falls Prevention is an 8-week\, 16 session workshop. \nFunding for this program is provided by a grant for disease prevention and health promotion under the 2018 Older Americans Act\, Title IIID\, through the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.

To register\, see below. \nAbout A Matter of Balance\nA Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels in older adults.  Participants will learn to reduce fall risks\, exercise to increase strength and balance\, and view falls as controllable.  Anyone who is concerned about falls\, has restricted their activities because of concerns about falling\, or is interested in improving balance\, flexibility and strength can benefit from A Matter of Balance. \nA Matter of Balance workshops meet one day a week for two hours. \nTo Register:\nPre-registration is required.
