About Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention:

Tai Chi is a low-impact form of Chinese martial arts that involves slow, controlled, flowing movements. Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention is designed for adults 60 and over to reduce pain and stiffness from arthritis, build strong muscle around joints, increase energy and prevent other health problems.   Tai Chi can also help improve hand-eye coordination, enhance health and fitness, improve balance, reduce stress and provide a gentle aerobic workout.   Tai Chi for Arthritis for Falls Prevention is an 8-week, 16 session workshop.

Funding for this program is provided by a grant for disease prevention and health promotion under the 2018 Older Americans Act, Title IIID, through the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.
