About A Matter of Balance:
Many older adults experience concerns about falling and begin to restrict their activities. A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to help older adults to manage falls and increase their activity levels.
A Matter of Balance helps participants learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing their activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at a home, and increase strength and balance. The eight-week group series is led by a certified instructor. The workshop is ideal for anyone who has concerns about falls, who has fallen in the past, or has restricted their activities because of falling concerns .
Pre-registration is required. For more information, contact Sherry Young at 866-413-5337 (866-41-ELDER) or firstname.lastname@example.org. Before starting any exercise program, always check with your physician.
Funding provided by a grant for Disease Prevention & Health Promotion under the 2018 Older Americans Act (Title III-D) through the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.
