Long-Term Care Services Specialist

The Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida (AAASWFL) seeks a strong communicator with human services experience, excellent interpersonal skills and initiative for a Long Term Care Services Specialist vacancy.

The Long Term Care Services Specialist is responsible for screening older adults and adults with disabilities for Medicaid and non-Medicaid related services.  These assessments are performed over the phone, using a standardized screening tool.  These specialists strive to provide efficient, timely, and consumer-friendly services to individuals in need of government-funded elder care and disability services.   In addition to excellent customer service and communication skills, Long Term Care Services Specialists must also have strong computer talents to effectively enter and track client data. Applications should have related experience as a caseworker, case manager, intake specialist, or have other familiarity with the long term care client population.

Fiscal Specialist (Part Time)

The Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida (AAASWFL) seeks an experienced, detail-oriented multi-tasker for a part-time position in the fiscal department.  The Fiscal Specialist is responsible for assisting the Chief Financial Officer in all duties of the finance/accounting department.  Areas of responsibility include contracts, grants, accounting, payroll, audit and fiscal compliance monitoring.  This position requires a high degree of motivation, experience, prioritization, problem-solving, and multi-tasking ability.

Program Specialist

(Compliance and Quality Assurance)

The Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida (AAASWFL) seeks a diligent, detail-oriented individual to perform quality assurance, compliance, and analyst tasks as part of the Programs Department.

The Program Specialist assists the Director of Programs to evaluate government-funded elder care services for compliance with grant requirements.  This person studies the requirements, rules and regulations that govern each grant, and evaluates the administration and management of these programs. The Program Specialist also provides technical assistance to sub-grantees, subcontractors, service providers and vendors to ensure continued compliance.  This position requires a high degree of organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and initiative.
