AAASWFL Lead Agencies

Each Area Agency on Aging in the state of Florida designates lead agencies. These agencies provide Community Care for the Elderly and other elder and disability services.  Lead agencies are selected through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process. They are held to strict standards of service from the Department of Elder Affairs and the local Area Agency on Aging.

Lead Agencies coordinate services in their designated county (or counties).  They provide elder and disability services  for medically frail older adults and people with disabilities who have functional impairments. Services can be provided either directly or through subcontracts.
